Doug has over 30 year's experience as an educator, evaluator and consultant and for the last 15 years has undertaken a broad range of consultancies internationally, for Australian Government and state / territory level public sector agencies, and for non-government organisations.
Doug is a review and evaluation specialist with postgraduate qualifications in evaluation and extensive experience in the design of evaluation frameworks, organisational performance frameworks and performance indicators, and in conducting program evaluations and organisational reviews. He is a highly skilled facilitator and has a depth of experience effectively managing strategic, business and project planning workshops, and stakeholder consultation workshops, to achieve productive outcomes, and ensure active participation and engagement. He uses his skills in strategic thinking, analysis and facilitation to develop strategic plans and advice to support organisations to respond to and reposition for future needs.
Doug has consulted across a range of sectors including defence and security, health, education, social services and natural resource management and has specialist expertise in relation to training design and evaluation as well as volunteering, and has evaluated a number of UN volunteering programs.
Doug has held Board roles in the not-for-profit sector, particularly in relation to education and pastoral support.
