When not appearing in the (inter)national media to share her thoughts on Pacific politics and geopolitics, Tess is a key part of our Pacific research team, providing guidance and inspiration in generous amounts. Drawing on more than 25 years spent in the Pacific, she has access to (and drinks kava with) some of the most influential people in the region. Tess is a powerful communicator across many formats and a former Lecturer in Law at the University of the South Pacific. Tess combines her academic training with a real-world appreciation of the challenges faced by policy makers and communities in the Pacific.
