Sustineo consultant gives guest lecture at the Australian National University

On the 25th of June Sustineo consultant Tom Sloan gave a guest lecture to the Qualitative Research Methods course at the Australian National University. The lecture focused on the role of qualitative research within the private sector and emphasised the importance of maintaining research integrity and rigour in contexts beyond academia. This included the importance of understanding the specific issue that the client is interested in investigating and selecting an appropriate methodology to address it, including data collection tools and analytical frameworks. Based on his recent experiences in Indigenous communities and international contexts, Tom reflected on the importance of the ethical conduct of field research in private sector engagements. The lecture was well received by undergraduate and postgraduate students in the class.
