An article co-authored by David Carpenter, with colleagues from the Australian National University, has recently been published by the International Journal of Sociology of Agriculture and Food. The article ‘Is De-agrarianization Inevitable? Subsistence, Food Security and Market Production in the Uplands of Negros Occidental, the Philippines’, looks at the livelihood strategies of resource poor farmers and the challenges they face.
