‘The Good Cooks’ provides a great example of an innovative method of bringing agricultural research to a wider audience, with chefs visiting ACIAR-funded projects across the Pacific. ACIAR’s investments throughout the pacific have been integral to ensuring sustainable food and economic security throughout the region. Food quality, food access, food waste, and food security are all important issues underlying the availability and safety of our food. ‘The Good Cooks’ provides an interesting look at the science and culture behind these issues while indulging the foodie in all of us. Given our past work for ACIAR with the peanut industry in Indonesia, we’ve been following the show closely and hope to see our project featured next season! Tune in for the season final next Thursday, December 13th!
