ASEAN Capacity Building Roadmap for Consumer Protection 2025

While the health and economic impacts of COVID-19 continue to be all consuming, it is important to recognise other progress being made to address long term social development issues. Earlier this year, Sustineo finished a project with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) developing the Capacity Building Roadmap for Consumer Protection 2025. As part of the work undertaken by ASEAN Committee on Consumer Protection (ACCP) to implement measures in the ASEAN Strategic Action Plan for Consumer Protection, the Roadmap serves as an action plan for capacity building, aimed at supporting ASEAN Members States to deliver world-class levels of consumer policy, institutions and laws for consumers.

The outcome of this work has been a collaborative effort. We have had the opportunity to work with Allan Asher and colleagues at the Foundation for Effective Markets and Governance (FEMAG) to develop the Roadmap. We would also like to thank the ASEAN Member States, ASEAN Secretariat and those from the ACCP for their contributions, which have shaped the successful project outputs.
