Asenati (Nati) is our trusted population and cultural geographer. She specialises in gender and development, population mobility and social change in the Pacific, and has published widely on women in leadership, politics and the public service. Nati is deeply committed to supporting Pacific islanders’ participation in research. Back home in Samoa, she is active in her Melanesian–Samoan community, playing a key role in negotiations with government on compensation for former plantation communities. At home in Canberra you’ll find Nati tending to her taro or cheering on the Moana Pasifika rugby team.
