Kyle’s primary role with Sustineo is business development, marketing and project management. He brings to the business more than 10 years’ experience in senior leadership roles for statutory and not-for-profit bodies and close to 20 years management experience in R&D extension, contract management, media management, product development, stakeholder relations, corporate governance, procurement and strategic communications.
Prior to Sustineo, Kyle was Senior Manager, Products and Services with the Grains Research and Development Corporation where he oversaw the development and delivery of communication products, platforms and channels for an RD&E investment portfolio of close to $1Billion.
Kyle is skilled in developing stakeholder partnerships and was an important part of the team that established Australia’s world-renowned public-private biosecurity partnership, including nationally agreed exotic pest and disease preparedness and response arrangements for agriculture. He is an accomplished strategic thinker with proven capacity to design enduring solutions to complex industry and organisational challenges. His consultancy approach is highly responsive with a strong focus on client and stakeholder engagement.
He maintains a deep interest in the role of communications in innovation systems, quantitative and qualitative research methods to support investment decision making, and adoption pathways and impact optimisation especially for adaptive agriculture and sustainable urban development.
Kyle has experience as a Non-Executive Board Director and is a Graduate of AICD’s Company Directors Course. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Human Ecology/Inter-disciplinary Studies) with Honours from the Australian National University and is working towards an MBA qualification with the University of New England.
