Sustineo is committed to help to improve the social and economic conditions of communities within and outside of Australia. Sustineo works collaboratively with partners to design, deliver, monitor and evaluate programmes that aim to improve the lives of Australian’s and people from less developed countries in the region. Sustineo seeks to explore the synergies between the domestic and international sectors with a view to improving performance in both areas.
Sustineo seeks to use its skills and experience to improve the delivery of international development projects and the impact of international development assistance more generally. Sustineo works with donors in project design and management, in monitoring and evaluation and in conducting research-based evaluations that lead to greater aid effectiveness.
Sustineo is committed to the aid effectiveness agenda and its consultants have practical experience evaluating complex programs using OECD-DAC criteria and the Paris principles for aid effectiveness. With this in mind, Sustineo has developed a strategic alliance with the International Development Program at the Alfred Deakin Research Institute, chaired by Professor Mark McGillivray.

A Methodology for Assessing the Poverty Reducing Impacts of Australia’s International Agricultural Research, Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research
Through this project Sustineo will develop a methodology that allows ACIAR to assess the contribution to poverty reduction of Australia’s international agricultural research
Australian Research Council-funded “Supporting Pacific Development” research project.
This research looks at the extent to which 22 of the world’s richest countries support development in the Pacific Islands through their efforts with respect to aid, trade, migration, private investment, security, technology and environmental sustainability. This 3 year research project will help address some of the most pressing development issues in the Pacific.
