Today, on International Women’s Day (IWD), we celebrate the social, economic, political and cultural achievements of women and girls. This year’s theme #pledgeforparity focuses on the need for all of us to recognise the barriers to women’s full participation in society. It calls us to challenge conscious and unconscious gender biases, insist on gender-balanced leadership, value women and men’s contributions equally, create inclusive, flexible cultures, and help women and girls achieve their ambitions.
